Systems for glass
Beneq's nHALO® Functional Coating System FCS is designed for surface modification of flat glass with functional nanoparticles. The system can be utilized in the tin bath exit section of a float line (FCS 4000F) or it can integrated in the off line glass processing line (FCS 2000). The applications include colouring of glass and other functional coatings of glass, including different solar control coatings such as UV absorbance and IR reflectance coatings.
The nanoparticles are generated by using patented nHALO® burner system. Various raw materials, e.g., metal nitrates, alkoxides and sulphates can be used to feed in the active elements of the coatings. The produced nanoparticles are directly deposited on hot glass (typically in the range from 600 to 750 °C), thus providing the glass with the desired coating and thereto related properties.
nHALO® Functional Coating System FCS has been developed to meet the required industrial standards. The product structure is robust and modular for further extensions. Commercially available, industrially proven components and solutions are used to guarantee high quality, serviceability and high efficiency.
