nSILVER - Invisible protection against silver tarnishing

Tarnishing of sterling silver is a well-known problem in silver industry. Tarnishing is mostly caused by airborne sulfur which reacts with the surface of a silver object and generates black silver sulfide, Ag₂S. In addition, many other chemical compounds have also been found on tarnished surfaces.

Beneq provides coating equipment TFS 500 for protection of silver products with the nSILVER^® technology. Protection is achieved by coating the silver objects with a thin, transparent, pinhole free, sapphire-like coating (SLC).
